I made this card for Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 185 found here: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2011/...5-contest.html. I don't own a large scallop die or punch, and I forgot that I could take the guard off of the circle punch and create a running scallop that way, so I did it the hard way with circle punches then adhering it all together.
The organdy ribbon was wrinkled with the heat gun.
I created the rings behind the large blossom by punching out a smaller circle, then aligning a larger punch around the hole and punching again.
The flower . . . well, the flower was an experiment. My husband said that he liked it, so I used it. It's made of tissue paper and everything else I could throw at it. Next time I'll stick with the flower tutorials.
Thanks for looking and for your comments!

I like your tissue flower and those pretty circles behind it. I really learned something...I didn't know you could do a scallop with the circle punch. Thanks for leaving that info. Very pretty card!

Oh my gosh ... first thank you for the lovely comment on my card. Its much appreciated.
I have to say, I popped into your gallery and I'm in awe ..... what a gorgeous collection of cards you have. I'll probably be leaving a lot of ohhh and ahhhhs on a few of your other cards.
As for this gorgeous card; I love the flower, it's beautiful and different. I really like the soft colors with the black. On my monitor, the colors are showing as pink and pale gray. Very classic.
I also like how your scallop edge came out. I tried doing that once, and failed.
Again, you have a fabulous gallery. TFS!!!

My gosh a lot of work went into this beautiful design! I am admiring all your perfect black layers. It really makes the softer colors pop. Beautiful all around.
